- Glenwhan Gardens are remarkable, transformed from gorse covered hillside, with spectacular views over Luce Bay.
- Threave Garden is best known for its spectacular springtime display of daffodils, colourful herbaceous beds and striking heather garden.
- Galloway House Garden, with walks along the shores of the Solway, was created in 1740, and is currently being restored.
- Ardwell House Gardens offers a fine collection of colourful azaleas, camellias and some spectacular rhododendrons combine to provide a haven of tranquillity centred on a pond walk, in a style of decorative landscaping much favoured in the 19th Century Scotland.

- Galloway House Gardens – Woodland garden with a number of alternative walks through formally laid out grounds but of an informal nature – leading down to the shore and sandy bay.
